Teenagers need adequate calories from a wide variety of foods. The number of calories you need depends on your activity level and body composition but most 16 yo girls need between 1800 and 2400 calories. This is not a time to restrict calories or eliminate foods/food groups. A healthy eating plan involves eating and enjoying all foods, not labeling foods as good or bad and eating intuitively.
